Michael Obermire, a native of San Luis Obispo, California is a 1981 graduate of California State University at Fresno with a B. S. in Industrial Engineering, and received his M.B.A. from California State University at Sacramento in 2006. He is a member of the California Chamber of Commerce and the Council for International Trade, a member of the BNSF customer advisory board, and a member of the advisory council for the College of Business Administration at C.S.U. Sacramento.
Prior to joining USS-POSCO Industries, Obermire held executive positions in Industrial Engineering, Production, and Sales Management at a California based valve manufacturer.
Obermire began his career with USS-POSCO Industries in 1996 as the Resident Manager of Sheet Products in Northern California. In 1998 he was named General Sales Manager of Tin Products and in 1999 became the Director of Business Planning and Customer Service.
He and his wife Lea, reside in Rocklin.
